The Upload Historical Incomes feature is available to all platforms who have opted in to use the feature during enrollment to Qwil's 2019 1099 tax filing offering. (*Note: if you didn't opt in to using the feature during 1099 enrollment, reach out to our Support team and we can help you out!)
How do I access and use the Upload Historical Income feature?
From your Admin dashboard, under the Earnings Tab, click "Import Historical Earnings" in the blue pop-up at the top of the page.
A pop-up will appear notifying you of a an available CSV template. Click the download our template link to download a copy of the CSV to your desktop and follow the instructions below on how to format the rest of the columns in the CSV.
The template is preset with a columns needed for historical income uploads. The column header rows are case and format sensitive. The 'external_id' field is for denoting a unique identifier for each payment (this field is strongly encouraged as it will help prevent the risk of duplicate payment uploads - however, the field is not required). The format for paid_timestamp is: YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS. If you download the template and see a field for 'contractor_external_id' this is specific to your platform and it is required instead of the email field.
Upload the completed CSV and if the import successful you will see the Income Status column indicate ‘Historical’ to denote that the income was earned before your platform was adding incomes in Qwil.
